Javier and Vicente Ibarra, two brothers from La Piedad Cabadas, Michoacán, Mexico, created Las Palmas with a vision of sharing authentic mexican cuisine and hospitality.
From our humble beginnings, Las Palmas has grown into a destination for genuine mexican flavors, a relaxed family atmosphere, and a tradition of excellence. Over the years, we have proudly expanded with multiple restaurants in Virginia Beach and Richmond, and now we are excited to share that we are establishing our presence in Chesapeake.

"Stopped into Las Palmas on Sunday night for dinner with friends && it was fantastic! The restaurant is clean and inviting and I was immediately greeted with a smile when I walked in the door. It was pretty busy, but we were sat without a wait and had chips and salsa to our table before we even got our coats off.
The menu has a great variety; on both the food and drink side. I chose a House Margarita Frozen as my beverage and it was definitely not lacking in the tequila. Margaritas at a Mexican restaurant are to be expected but the presentation, size and taste made it the best I've had to date.
I was in the mood for familiarity so I went with Arroz con Pollo and it was delicious! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and plentiful and the sauce was to die for. It was a generous plate and I ended up having leftovers for another meal.
Overall it was fantastic! It's located next to a Marshall's and Harris Teeter so if you wanna walk off those chips after, it's perfect. We had a great time and will be going back soon! 10/10 recommend"

We went during a Friday night and it was packed - and for good reason! The wait can be a bit long (30-ish minutes depending on the party size) but you can always hit up the bar for drinks while you wait. Their margaritas are pretty amazing and a very good size.
The restaurant's size is pretty huge and fills up fast.
When you get seated, you get the complimentary chips and you can get the optional guacamole dip - definitely get it. They have a guacamole dip cart that one of their workers wheels around and makes it fresh right there in front of you.
Got the Tacos Al Pastor and it just melted in my mouth. Perfectly cooked, really tender meat and the salsa that it comes with really compliments it. Comes with a side of rice and beans and it's a good touch.
As far as the environment, it's really vibrant. Good music (thankfully not obnoxiously loud), really good service and it's just really colorful all around.
Come with an open heart and DEFINITELY an empty stomach - you're gonna need it!!!."
